About the Festival
Standing upside down feels good.
Let's do a handstand!
The Hallucigenia Handstand Festival is a festival where various genres of physical manipulation gather to interact and learn from each other, with a focus on handstand.
Although it is not yet very popular in general, handstand is a new genre that anyone can work on, regardless of age or experience. By practicing handstand, you can face and better understand your own body and personality, and build a wiser body.
Hallucigenia Handstand Festival is a place where people of all levels can have fun and interact, from those who are even slightly interested in handstands, those who want to start, those who want to meet other handstand enthusiasts, and those who want to improve their skills.
We also want people to know the diversity of handstands. In fact, handstands can be found in many different genres.
Circus, dance, yoga, martial arts.
They are used in a variety of fields, but they do not often interact with each other.
One of the attractions of this festival is that you can experience a variety of different fields centered around handstand.

Origin of the name
Hallucigenia is an ancient organism from approximately 500 million years ago.
Since its fossil discovery, researchers initially struggled to determine its correct orientation, leading to misunderstandings where its top and bottom, front and back were reversed in reconstructions. As a result, it was named "Harukigenia," meaning fantasy.
Inspired by the idea of humans rotating upside down like Harukigenia, we named the event "Harukigenia Handstand Festival" with the desire to create a place where such playful exploration can happen.
